Gravistar Dev Update: Xbox Lives! Next Stop, Steam

Our old Xbox dev kits are back in action! Mark got the Unity version of Gravistar up and running on them, and seeing the game running on console is pretty damn exciting. We’ve been looking forward to bringing Gravistar to more platforms, and this is a big step in that direction.

First stop, however: getting the Gravistar teaser mission onto Steam!

This month, our main focus is the Unity port. Mark is getting really close to having it squared away, while I’m continuing to shore up the missions, tighten up encounters, and get everything into fighting shape.

Last month brought a major renovation to the boss art, along with a UI pass to freshen things up. The fleet’s big bads got some much-needed attention, and we also retooled the weapon controls to make them more intuitive and easier to play with. It’s been great seeing all those improvements come together in the game.

A ton of work has gone into Gravistar over the last few months. Between the updated art, refined controls, mission work, and the move to Unity, there’s been plenty keeping the two of us busy—and we’re having a lot of fun with it.

More to show soon. For now, back to building things for you to blow up. 🙂
